A: Our student/teacher ratios are currently 4:1. We have no more than 8 students in any academic study group.
A: This number varies from year to year. We can hold a maximum of 32 students across four learning groups.
A: Arete Academy has earned provisional accreditation with the Independent Schools Association of the Central States (ISACS). We are currently on the path to full accreditation.
A: Our curriculum has a STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, Math) focus and is relevant to Minnesota State Standards as well as the Common Core. Arete Academy provides additional support in the areas of reading and writing.
A: Technology is an integral part of our curriculum. We are 1:1 with chromebooks and our teachers have experience with a number of assistive technology programs.
A: Yes, we offer tutoring services in math and reading and tutoring is open to all students in the community.
A: We offer consultation and report reviews for families. In the Wellness Clinic connected to our school, we have a close relationship with NeurOptimal Neurofeedback, a family therapist, speech and language therapy, occupational therapy, a chiropractor, and acupuncture.
A: The tuition for the 2018-2019 school year is $23,500. At this time, there is no financial aid available.
A: We accept students who are
1) entering 4th-11th grade,
2) average to above average learning potential, and
3) have a diagnosis or educational eligibility of ADHD, an anxiety disorder and/or a learning disability such as dyslexia, dysgraphia, central auditory processing disorder, dyscalculia, etc. We are also aware that 2e students’ testing results can vary greatly and exhibit unique learning profiles. The most important consideration is whether Arete Academy can meet each family and student’s individual needs.
