Arete Hangouts - In-Person Activity

Come play games, go outside, and just have fun with friends! Social time with like-peers and a teacher who is supportive. Open to current students, friends, family and those in the admissions process. Students attending a morning activity and afternoon class/tutoring can stay for lunch/break.

Dates: Mondays 9:30 am - 12:00 pm... June 27, July 11, July 18, July 25, August 1, and August 8.

Cost: $25/hangout

Chopped: Art Edition! - In-Person Activity

Each week you’ll be given a mystery material that you must use to create the art piece of your dreams. Students attending a morning activity and afternoon class/tutoring can stay for lunch/break.

Dates: Thursdays 9:30 am - 12:00 pm... June 30, July 14, July 21, July 28, August 4, and August 11.

Cost: $35/session (includes supplies).

Tutoring- In-Person or Virtual

Our teacher Lisa is available for tutoring in writing, math, and social studies virtually or in person. If you are interested in support with another subject area or specific skill we may be able to help. Send us an email with a description of your preferred subject/skill, in-person or virtual, and we will connect you with a tutor!

Cost: $60/hr forArete students and families, $70/hr non-Arete students

Scary Stories for Sunny Days - In-Person Class

Interested in summer language arts with Betsy? During the bright days of summer, join us as we look into the chilling darkness that can be found within the pages of seemingly innocent books. What makes horror horrifying? Who writes horror and why? We will read and enjoy some of the best examples of horror this summer, and our class discussions will try to answer these questions and more.

Dates: Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays 12:45-2:45 pm... Week of June 13, June 27, July 11, July 18. 

Cost: $500 for class. $750 for class + credit option

High School Fitness & Wellness - Virtual

Get your health and/or PE credit with Anna! Over the course of 10 weeks, you will have five virtual meetings with asychronous assignments in between and support from a teacher throughout. Through fitness tracking and a focus on your health and wellness you'll be feeling great and learning plenty (not to mention checking off a grad requirement). This course has rolling admissions and can be done on a flexible schedule. 

Cost: $500 for class, $750 for class + credit option.
